You visit our Midtown showroom and an extensive measuring process takes place. Alan David has been manufacturing mens custom shirts since 1926. Our pattern making and measuring techniques are time tested, ensuring that your fit is perfect the very first time. Our commitment to the perfect fit is relentless. You then select the fabrics that interest you. The fabrics we use for all our custom dress shirts are from mills with long standing histories of quality and value. Examples include Loro Piana, Tomas Mason and Zegna.

Your measurements and fabrics are then sent to our factory where our tailors cut your pattern. Every client gets his own individual pattern created for his own unique body. No two patterns are the same. Our tailors are very “old world” with a wealth of knowledge and experience in creating bespoke shirts.

To ensure the highest quality all shirts are made domestically, nothing is outsourced overseas.
