At Alan David our mission statement is “To produce high quality men’s custom suits and shirts that fit as close to perfect the very first time”. The process is as follows;   

You visit our Midtown showroom. A comprehensive measuring process then takes place. Alan David & family are pioneers in pattern making as well as measuring techniques. Four generations of experience is behind every measurement we take and every pattern we create. This ensures a close to perfect fit the very first time.

Our fit is what sets us apart from the rest. Your custom made suit is cut to fit you and only you. Every client gets his own individual pattern tailored to his unique body. No two patterns are the same.     

You then select the fabrics that interest you. The fabrics we use for all our custom mens suits are from mills with long standing histories of quality and value. Examples include Loro Piana, Zegna, Scabal and Dormeuil.    

Your measurements and fabrics are then sent to our workshop where our tailors begin to assemble your garment. All custom suits are hand made, with a full canvas construction. Our tailors are mostly from England and Italy, bringing with them their knowledge of bespoke suits from Savile Row and Milan. To ensure the highest quality all garments are made domestically, nothing is outsourced overseas.
